Each Pulse pairs to exactly one other Pulse through the phone app. Your phone acts as the bridge between your Pulse and the internet. When you send a preset — from your phone or your device — it travels end-to-end encrypted and arrives as light and vibration on theirs.

Yes. Pulses are end-to-end encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Our servers relay signals but can never read them — only your paired device can.
Yes — Pulse connects to the internet through your phone (BLE). Without Loom, your phone needs to be nearby for both sending and receiving. With Loom — a small always-on WiFi bridge — your phone can be anywhere and your Pulse stays connected on its own.
